Default 1st Post... How many open carry?

This is my first post. I am originally from Erie (yikes), and now live in Texas. I have a CCW license in Texas, as well as a Pennsylvania LCTF.

I will be visiting PA in July, and my question concerns open carry. How many of you folks actually do carry openly? Does it lead to hassles? Do you prefer to conceal?

    Thanks for your input.

I open carry sometimes but as of late it has become more and more. You can be harassed by the Police(illegally), but if you stick to your guns and know your rights you will come out on top.

When injustice becomes law, rebellion becomes duty!

I ended up right back at my chair, actually. I was going to go for a bike ride, and mentioned I was switching from my usual carry of a steel framed Witness to a nice lightweight Glock to my fiancee, and she ... well, pretty much flipped out without yelling that I don't need a gun for a bike ride (I carry -everywhere- I go, except where prohibited by law. I don't know where this came from all of a sudden.) and after arguing with her for about five minutes I said "Fine, then I guess I don't NEED to go out, either." and got back online.

I got the "what if you scare children" line and "it won't be so nice if they call the police on you" and a few others. This from the girl who groans about how we can't bring any of our guns if we go to NY or up to Canada.

    Sigh.

But in short, it doesn't scare children, it fascinates them. The only people it scares are those who suffer from Holophobia (an intense and irrational fear of firearms) But even then, 95% of people do not even notice the firearm.

Anyway, since you are local, why not join us on the 31st for dinner?

    HOLY CRAP!!!

A bicycle!!!! That's what I have been looking for all these years to keep me safe!! Tell your woman that she has my undying gratitude for finally pointing out the one device that will prevent me from being a victim of the bad guys!!!

Wow...a bike. I never thought that riding a bike would negate my need to carry a weapon to defend myself... pretty simple when you think about it....

    Ugh.... leave her, quickly...
