    Default PMR-30 Kel-Tec customer service BUYER BEWARE !!!!

    I just bought a PMR-30 in the first 50 rounds the front sight fell off I could not find it. I tried calling Kel-Tec 10 times with no answer from their tech support line it keeps saying call back in a few days we are busy.

    This is the email I got back from them. They make you pay shipping to return a gun that will cost me around $50 on a week old gun. Don't make the same mistake I did all I wanted was them to send me a new sight. Add a drop glue under the front sight are they for real. If one person reads this and thinks twice what may happen to them by buying their products this may save a potential buyer some hassel. This email is directly from Kel-Tec customer service.


    "I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we're no longer able to provide free replacement parts because they kept getting lost in the mail, but you're able to purchase them at the number below or website so that you get a tracking number. Otherwise, feel free to send the firearm in for service with the information requested on the warranty page.I've heard people have added a drop of glue under the sight to help the screws out."

    Sorry to hear about your misfortune and unpleasant dealing with Kel-Tec.

    Sell it and buy something from a company that will actually stand behind their product. 'Replacement parts keep lost lost in the mail'?? I call BS on that one from Kel-Tec! Why wouldn't they add a tracking# if that was a big concern... And it's even better tht they don't answer the phone...

    If it is only a week old, can you take it back to where you bought it? Would they help out any?

    I'd call back during Regular Business hours, You may have gotten someone without a Clue, Stay calm, Explain you just bought the gun and explain what happened.

    Another option is to return it from 'whence it came' and let the Dealer handle it, It should have some kind of Dealer warranty not to mention He should have an easier time Dealing with Kel-Tec.

    Shit Happens, meanwhile I'd research over at the Kel-Tec forum to find out if this was a Fluke or a recurring problem, Someone there could also probably help you out with getting a replacement sight.

    Good advice. Kel tec has been known for good customer service! The forums help as well KTOG.org

    I'm looking forward to hearing how this got resolved. I've previously only heard good things about their customer service. Hopefully this is a fluke rather than a trend.
