    Question Galesi Pistol

I have inherited this pistol from my great Uncle that just passed away. It was in a fire safe and was forgotten until they were cleaning it out. I have been told that this is came from a German Officer in WWII. I have included pictures of the Pistol that details the engraving on it. This is including, what maybe, a model number that I found when I took it apart. I am unable to find anything online about this pistol and my curiosity is getting the better of me now. Thank you in advance for any information and thanks for reading this.

Looks like it may have some of the same blood lines as my Dad's Armi-Galesi .25 but unfortunately, I don't know much about our's either!

Have you tried contacting Franchi about it? It is clearly marked Franchi on the side panel.

Thank you for the reply! I looked over the previous discussion on the one Galesi Pistol. I am going to dig further into the Franchi branding.

I think Franchi was the seller- Armi Galesi the maker. They made good quality smaller caliber pistols for many years, beginning with .25 calibers in 1910.
I believe they are now part of a larger manufacturer.
If your pistol is a .32, it is probably WWII era, but it would have been an Italian Army pistol, although the Germans were using any type of pistol they could get.

If you Google Armi Galesi you will find a lot of company history and information on this manufacturer.
If it had come from my dad, I'd keep it for sure.

I believe dogngun is correct. L. Franchi is seller. The word is concessionario just like we use: concession stand. It is not the German word for seller though.

Thank you very much for the replies, (even though my follow up was almost a year late) I did find out through my other great Uncle that the history of this gun goes deeper and that this pistol saved my Uncle's life in WWII. I don't want to type on and on about the story but it is a pistol that I am very glad to have in my collection and in my family!
