I got a quote from fed-ex store 120.00 My dealer is dead, so i'm kind of stuck. Any suggestions?

I shipped UPS to Glock for ~$85.00.

Had to take it to their depot and declare what it was. It went next day air insured for $600.00.

I didn't think you could ship a firearm from a FedEx Store or a UPS Store? I thought you had to go through their depots?

I used to use the fed ex store near me. The most i was ever charged was about 30.00 as long as it goes to a dealer they'll ship.

Who are you shipping it to and why?

I recently had to send a handgun back to Ruger for service. It was old enough not to qualify for pre-paid two way shipping. But Ruger sold me a FedEx shipping label at a much reduced cost of what I would have gotten it from directly from FedEx.

Maybe the receiver has an account with FexEd and can sell you a label.

Call around to other FFLs in your area. Get a quote. They can ship USPS much cheaper and may only charge you a small fee plus the cost of shipping.
May be cheaper.

That seems really fair. 120.00 is robbery.

Its a fedex POLICY to ship firearms overnight. Not a REQUIREMENT.


Thats how my local store Fedex guy put it to me.
