Re: Mifflin Co. 3-Gun
This is probably the closest match yo will find this summer. Why not contact me and come and see it at least, and we can always use help working the match?

Re: Mifflin Co. 3-Gun
The web site has further information and an entry form:
http://www.mifflincosportsmens.com/3gunshoot.html
This will be a 6 stage match with rifle shots from pointblank range to 500 yds. Shotgun will be rather interesting with rolling, flying, and stationary targets. We have buckshot (optional) and slug opportunities as well. A bit more than the ordinary local 3-gun, but not quite a "big match", trying for "just right".Last edited by Rundownfid; February 23rd, 2014 at 10:10 AM.

Re: Mifflin Co. 3-Gun
Are you the contact person on the flyer? If so, you're my neighbor, I'm the second house up Asper.
No separate heavy class? Are there any caliber restrictions? I keep threatening to do one of these but I don't want to look like an ass. Although, I guess everyone popped their cherry at some point."A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself"

Re: Mifflin Co. 3-Gun
UncleJumbo;
Yes I am the contact person, neighbor. If you want to give it a try give me a call, we can shoot the 3-guns and go over some of what to expect. I wouldn't worry too much about looking bad, we all do, just as long as you are safe no one will care.
We do't have a separate heavy class, so few people use anything but .223s, however, .308s are welcome, and might even be a slight advantage on the long shots.
Glocke12;
Not sure where in Eastern Pa you are but there are probably local matches near you. Heidelburg Sportsmen runs a monthly match that is quite low key a good place to start. Our match is a bit more complex with long shots and multiple flying targets with the shotgun. Still, the squads will be small, so it won't be a bad place to start. Should you decide to try it as a first timer let me know and I'll squad yo with an RO that can help show you the ropes.
