    Default Delco paperwork timeline

    Hey Guys,

I’ve been lurking on the forums for a while now but figured I’d finally post and say hey… I’m not good at formal introductions so I’ll just say I’m an Aussie expat who lives Bala Cynwyd now but will be moving to media as soon as the renovations on the house we closed on a couple of weeks ago are completed and I'm hoping there are some cool people in the area to catch up with once in a while.

Now! onto the real business at hand! I dropped off my LTCF paperwork at the delaware county sheriffs office this afternoon, the lady said it would be 45-50 working days before I’d hear anything back. After searching the forum it looks like its normally a 2-3 week turn around, but most of those threads are pretty old. Has anyone gone through the process recently and is it really that long?

    Thanks!

Was that a renewal or initial license? My initial took longer than 45 calendar days, my renewal was about 21 calendar days IIRC, much quicker for the renewal.

It was an initial. Actually it was less than 31 days because we got the letter last Friday while we were still in Jamiaca.

The bride and I dropped off our applications on 10/16. Got our letter today and went over picked up our LTCF's. Mine was a renewal and hers was a new application. 16 days total for both.

Not too shabby...... considering what it was.

EDIT: Welcome to to the forum............................

thundrr1, yep I seen that but wasn't sure if that was the norm or not so figured I'd throw it out there and ask.

soberbyker and Aggies Coach, I appreciate the feedback. i guess the 45-50 working day comment is to give them a nice buffer before people start hassling them.

I know DelCo says 45 working days (which works out to ~63 calendar) but the statute says 45 DAYS. In 2011, I applied on 08/03, got the notification on 08/26 -- 23 days.

With the new sheriff (just took office this month), things may change - or not.
