There is a way to have a NFA device "de-registered". I am not exactly sure how that is done though.

I do know that the firearm must be reconfigured to a non-NFA build state. And you must file a form or petition to have it struck from the registry. ...and I'm sure the Fedz will want proof of the new non-NFA status.

You might want to give the ATF a call on how to do it. If that particular agent gives you grief or the run-around, call another office, or call back at a different time to see if you can get a more knowledgeable agent. ....there IS a process to do it.

Before anyone flames me about calling the ATF - well, not all of their agents are the spawn of Satan. Some are pretty good folks, very much like us, who just happen to work for .gov.

Why on earth do you want to do this? After all the headache just to get any NFA stuff, you would want to undo it??????
You don't have enough guns untill you don't know how many you have.

I need the money and nobody want to wait 9mos to have a pistol grip on a ar/15 pistol. Its easier to sell as a pistol. Back when i got it it only took a couple months to do the paperwork, and 5 dollar stamp.

Its a olympic arms. I tried to install a regular ar upper to see if its worth keeping, it didn't mate up.The upper is a different configuration than a ar/15
The pistol grip is what the tax stamp is for. People dont want to wait 9mos for paperwork just for a pistol grip.
