Default place to shoot, but not sure...

    OK guys and dolls,

I need to know if anyone knows the laws on shooting. I have access to a place on a friends poroperty to shoot. I have been told you have to be 500FT. from dwellings, but does this include the owner of the private property's dwelling as well?

Reason I ask they have a bench rest on the deck of the house and shoot from there. There is a steep berm for a backstop, behind that is a mountian. Other houses are in the OTHER direction of the line of fire. So nothing to worry about down range. and NO houses to either side, this is at the end of a dead end road.

Snert- I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it's fine with your friend you shouldn't have a problem. Not sure about the 500ft rule but I'd image the owners dwelling can be omitted. So It should be safe to shoot there.

If there's a 500 foot rule, I've been breaking it for 30 years!

Now That’s The Ticket… I don’t know why the Thompson “Street Sweeper” isn’t the most popular “Assault” Weapon, especially with the 100 round drum.
