Stainless Steel Kitchen Cleaner Safe for Guns?

Stainless is stainless. The kitchen cleaner will not harm the gun finish at all. Its made to remove oil. Not sure that is what I would want to put on my gun, but to each his own.

Some stainless steel cleaners have ammonia in them. Ammonia can be corrosive in the right environment.

I tried flitz; not bad at all. It takes a bit more elbow grease for me than mag polish, but...

i've had phenominal results with flitz i purchased a used SW 686 and a buddy polished it for me flitz and when he was done it looked brand spanking new.

After reading everybody's opinion, I decided not to risk it lol. Powder Blaster then a coating of CLP made it clean, but I'm still trying to figure out what could maybe give it the brand new gun look.

Never shooting it. But that's no fun. Most stainless guns are combo finished with a mix of blasted brushed and or polished. keep away from steel wool and remember that a light acid is used to get rid of iron molecules on the surface to prevent rust. enjoy don't obsess.

Have always used Liquid Wrench or Kano Kroil. Cleans well - drives our moisture - just enough lube. Just me.

I think, for me it's not good idea, but it's on your own. If you use it, you'll have to grease it with oil, don't forget this, and good luck. We'll wait for the results of this extraordinary cleaning up
