New here, originally PA but now OH
I have my Ohio CCW but was wondering how I can get a license to carry in PA? I used to live in Nanticoke and I visit back home once in awhile and would like to be able to carry my gun. I'm assuming I have to do it in person but is there an easier way? When I do come home to visit out time is very limited. Thanks for any help!!!

You have to apply in person in any county. Keep in mind most county sheriffs are not processing non resident applications. Check the reciprocity map of PA, your Ohio LTCF may be honored here. Good luck and welcome aboard.
Stay armed my friends.

Call your local sheriff first and if he breaks your chops call Mark Steelmen in Wayne county.

Centre County, in the center of the state(!), is non-res. friendly.
Right now there is no other way to get your PA LTCF other than appearing in person at least once during the process.

Re: New here, originally PA but now OH
Thanks for the replies guys. I had a feeling it was going to be that way. Do you happen to know how long it would take to fill the forms out?

Re: New here, originally PA but now OH
Only takes a couple minutes. It is one sheet, both sides. See it here:
http://www.co.venango.pa.us/index.ph...irearm?Itemid=
Some sheriffs will accept a form you download and fill out, others have you fill out one in person. It's the same form across the state, except some have their county name already filled in.
Also, some sheriffs will issue while you wait, others make you wait up to 45 days.
You could call around to get info (if they issue to non-res and what the wait time is) at a sheriff you will be passing by on your way to PA:
