I would rather see an email from Phil or Someone stating that he wasn't. Just because a website says he is or isn't doesn't make it so.

Where is the cheapest place to park for the rally? I am trying to cut traveling/ parking costs if possible this year, and those garages are ridiculously expensive to park in for 5 or 6 hrs. Does anyone know of anything more reasonable?

so...with the various social commentary & political power stances expressed I have 3 simple questions...

1) is there going to be a rally?

2) will there be anybody speaking?

3) are there going to be more than 10 people attending?

As one of the commentators in this thread, my position was initially tinged with disgust at Metcalf's choice of keynote speaker...I felt it was an overall negative for our cause.

Upon further reflection, I came to realize that the perceived distraction did not outweigh the opportunity to stand for our 2A rights (the whole intent of this rally), and I would attend regardless.

So, you can count on at least you, me, the good folks from PFOAC (who really do the work behind the scenes), and I'll throw in Repo (on 'vacation' from this forum).... as well as close to a hundred others from this board.

What is interesting is that the website for this event ( http://www.2arally.com/ ) has 10,121 'likes'... I'd be ecstatic if 10% of them showed up.

Yes, I've been to these rallies before, and while grateful to those who came, I always left wishing there was 10x more there. I'd like to see the crowd go from the steps of the Capitol all the way to the river!!!

But I think it will be a good turnout this year and look forward to seeing you all in any event.

He was asking a 1/2 million $ speaking fee. I don't think there's a chance in hell that he will be there.
