Default SIG P226 Enhanced Elite Grip Question

The one-piece ergonomic grip that comes on the Enhanced Elite and the E2 models. Can those be swapped out for standard Sig grips or are the frames on the Enhanced Elite and E2 models somehow different?

You can switch to regular grips. I think you need to get grip screw bushings, screws and the grips you are changing to.

The grip was kind of a nice bonus on paper as I have less than average size hand for a male. What I really wanted was the SRT trigger and night sights. I just wanted to know I had the full availability of grip options if I did not like them. Thanks.

That gun has the beaver tail frame as well, correct? When Sig first came out with the E2 grip it got much attention. It seems that that some loved it and some not so much.

This is listed as the included options, "Front cocking serrations, Ergo Grips, Beavertail frame, SRT™ - Short Reset Trigger. It also has "SIGLITE Night Sights"

The they looked promising for especially for my hands. But I wanted to make sure I was not stuck with them.

I have always liked Sigs as well but was turned off by the price. I wanted one someday. But recently I had a polymer frame LCP break.

Now I know these are smaller firearms and Ruger is not exactly a top tier supplier of duty quality firearms, but this incident has kind of lit a fire under my ass to have some all metal firearms around for defense vs the ones that I have now area all polymer framed.

I'm not turning into one of these anti-polymer "Tupperware" hating guys. But I'm going to focus on non-polymer firearms for my next set or purchases whenever they may come.

I installed both the srt and e2 grips on my 226 and am very happy with them both. I had to change the strut to get the grips to fit but it would not be necessary going in the other direction. I wear an extra large glove and still find these grips feel better than factory plastic, factory wood or Hogues. Best of luck. Brian

The only frame you can't switch them out on are the p227. They don't have the threaded bushing adapter. I have the e2 on 3 of my sigs and love them.
