    Default Non-Resident Renewal

I have a Pennsylvania license to carry permit issued by Centre county which will expire February 23,2014. I also have a CWP issued from my home state of Florida. I understand my Pennsylvania license can no longer be renewed by mail, what must I do to get my license renewed?

If your official residence is in Florida, then you should be covered by your Florida LTCF.

You must visit a non-resident friendly sheriff in person.

He wouldn't be allowed to carry within 1000' of a K-12 school due to federal law though.

To make this clear: there is NO LAW which forbids sheriffs from issuing LTCFs via mail. The only thing holding mail-issued-LTCFs back is the willingness of the sheriffs to find a way to import digital images to a computer through some means other than using the digital camera they have been provided with.

I will once again state my willingness to do this work, free of charge, for any sheriff who requests it.

If YOU wanted to contact a sheriff, Denny Nau of Centre Co. would probably be very receptive to talking with you about this, since he issued many non-res LTCF thru the mail in the past.
