Default CZ 75 DB and new shooter

    Hey all,

took my CZ75 DB out for the first time and had a great time !!! My wife even fired one round

Any pointers for me? anything I am doing that will give me any bad shooting habits ?

Also I was wondering what sort of dry firing practice would be good to do? I have seen some dry fire manuals online and wonder if they are worth getting ?

    Thanks, Sabre

The only thing that I can see (pics are a bit dark) is your grip on the pistol. Here is a great video on how to hold a pistol.

make sure you use snap caps with your CZ, there is a firing pin stop that may break after excessive dry firing without snap caps. You don't want to have to send a new gun back for repairs...

Thanks for the video, I will watch it this weekend. Work doesn't allow youtube or any video sites anymore... yes they have regressed to the 90's :-(

Snap caps are now on order !

In your opinion are dry-fire manuals worth it? Shooting at the range is far more fun, I just can't get out as often as I would like.

    Thanks again,
    Sabre

I think dry fire is good, you can use it to get a feel for the trigger and find out where it is going to break at. I also like it for unholster, acquire, and fire drills.
