Personally, that's part of the allure for me. I'm kinda tired of every new pistol looking just like the next one.

Proof is in the pudding, but given that low entry price, I think it might be the next purchase.

Kinda like the way it looks -- reminds me of a H&K VP70.

I like the look of the R51. I'm actually kind of excited to get my hands on one. Good on Remington for bringing something different to the market.

The Crimson Trace makes it look even better:

I'll be interested in checking one out. I've been kind of wanting to pick up a small pistol to carry, but nothing really did it for me. Maybe this is the one, guess i'll see once I handle one.

On looks alone, I like it more every time I see it.

I just have to feel it in my hand, but being it has serations on the frame above the trigger well for my thumb, it may feel good.

The P7 is my favorite pistol - I have maybe about 10 of them. But it is too heavy. The R51 has a chance to do mostly the same thing for 1/2 lb less weight and 1/3 the price.

Don't disagree with you re: accidental mag release, but I've trained too long to switch up my manual of arms at this point...too used to hitting a mag release with my thumb.

I like my P7 heel release just fine. The M8 is good also. I don't have a strong opinion on which is better.

Hey, at that price, as long as the trigger doesn't suck and it doesn't have a mag safety, I'm in for one.....

Hey Glock, see what ppl can do when they look at current market trends?
    Yes. Grip safety. Alloy frame.
