New Remington R51 pistol

I'd have to shoot it to see what the felt recoil was like. Also I have doubts about a 1911 style SAO system with no manual safety.

I don't like SAO because of the need for a manual safety to carry.

For me it would have to outperform my Kahr to consider a purchase.

I have a PSP in my safe (which I found for a good price), and it's my favorite pure shooter...but the manual of arms (with the mag release in the heel) is too wonky for me to put it in the carry rotation. Had I found a P7M8 for a decent price...

I actually prefer carrying my P7 PSP over my P7M8 specifically due to the heel mag release. It is very secure, and I find it easy to change mags quickly. There is also no chance of an accidental mag release with the PSP, although with a proper holster, that shouldn't be an issue with the M8 either.

I like the low bore axis of the P7, so I would probably like this new R51.

I for one cannot wait to handle and most likely purchase. Slim, light.. Factory options that appeal to me, and the palm safety!! (Which is rumored to be firm with an audible "click" upon release).. Sounds like a 1911 operators light carry dream. Very, very cool weapon.

I like the looks of it.

Of course I do not need another carry gun, but this one is cheap enough and American made that I may throw down some loot.

The looks are growing on me. The more I look at one, the more I want to see get my mitts on it. Plus, I don't buy a pistol based on it's looks. That's why I have ARs

I'm hoping that there is a similar Glock in 9mm coming.
