Re: New Remington R51 pistol
If it feels good in the hand I'm buying. The breech block blowback design has got me all hot and bothered.

Re: New Remington R51 pistol
I think I'm in too. As long as they run well, Remington has a winner right there.

I agree with you about the pocket thing. That's why I put it in quotations. I had a Kahr PM9, and tried to pocket carry it a few times. Unless you wear fat mans pants, they feel like a 2x6 in your pocket, and look like it too, and dang near impossible to get out in under a minute.

Re: New Remington R51 pistol
Dammit, shoulda waited for this and skipped on the XD-S 9mm...
That was my first reaction too, until I thought about it: the slope on the rear of the sight really does make it snag-free, and with zero slope on the front, you can easily rack the slide one-handed.
Hell, I swapped the stock rear sight on my XD-S with an Ameriglo block sight, and had it installed backwards just so I could have a truly vertical face facing forwards for one-handed manipulations.
I have a PSP in my safe (which I found for a good price), and it's my favorite pure shooter...but the manual of arms (with the mag release in the heel) is too wonky for me to put it in the carry rotation. Had I found a P7M8 for a decent price...Last edited by AJChenMPH; January 3rd, 2014 at 01:03 AM.

I hope that they make an extended and threaded barrel version for suppressed shooting.

Re: New Remington R51 pistol
My Grandfather said "it's a 51 that I got in 51". I now understand what he was talking about.
After reading a few other things on the R51, I may just get one.

Looks very much like a HK VZ70 the worlds first polymer pistol or a South African Vektor Pistol.
