Eye dominance
Just wondering anybody else is like me. I'm right handed but left eye dominant. It's not too hard to work with shooting pistols, but rifles give me a real problem. I'm slightly near sighted in my right eye and perfect in my left, which is why I think it's become dominant. Hopefully I can get my right lasered soon and solve the problem, but I don't know if I can change the dominance back to the right again.

Re: Eye dominance
Sorta the same here. My right eye has a slight astigmatism and doesnt see very well. A few years ago my eye doctor said my left eye's vision was better. When looking down the scope I use my right eye but keep my left eye open and just concentrate on the crosshair. Feels like my eye goes back into spec enough at least =\ (Might only work if you have astigmatism)

Re: Eye dominance
I'm the same way. My vision in my right eye isn't so good. I was at bass pro shop a while back in Hburg and played the little target shooting game they had setup and i couldn't do it cuz I was trying to use my right eye to target. It's just to awkward holding a rifle left handed when i'm a righty.

Re: Eye dominance
Me too... When I target shoot I wear a patch over my left eye. That helps me alot. I have no problems when I shoot pistol though. I just cant my head a little further to use my left eye.

Re: Eye dominance
Same problem here. No real issues with the pistols, but, with the rifles its hell.
I've been trying to "train" my right eye (when shooting the rifle) by putting a patch over my glasses on the left. With the patch you can still keep the eye open. Although its quite weird at first.
I've been also trying to shoot my handguns with both eyes open. Although that is even tougher, because, it just doesn't seem natural. I really have to force myself. Sometimes the eye issue becomes such an intense focus that I can't really focus on the sight.
Keep us posted on what you're doing. I'm always open for new suggestions on how to handle this eye dominance thing.

Re: Eye dominance
I think my problem is from looking through the scope for so many years. Seems to have strained my right eye. Same as the rest who posted, my left eye is fine.

Re: Eye dominance
I'm lucky cause my right eye is what they called lazy back in my youth. And it never got better. But I'm left handed so it works OK
