I have to admit you guys are right. I think my finish is ok. I smothered the slide in slip2000 and now it looks almost perfect. The rem oil i put before the picture did nothing to darken the finish i think the rem oil spray just evaporated off leaving the slide gray. Thanks for all the feedback.

Also I did order some Froglube paste. There were a lot of mixed reviews but more positive then negative. I will post my feedback on the fl.

Can i use frog lube on my slide and slip 2000 on my rails?

I switched to froglube about a year ago with no problems. I run it on all of my pistols and the AR. I've never had a malfunction with froglube, but I also run quality bcg's.
