Re: Cabela's used Sig P226's
I can't comment on owning one, but when I worked at Gander Mountain we used to get these refurbished from Sig. What they are are LE turn ins that have been gone over and worn out components replaced. They are pretty much a new gun, usually with some minor blemishes (holster wear, etc)
You might want to double check with Cabela's, but I believe the purchase of one comes with the standard Sig warranty, which is lifetime.Stay armed my friends.

Re: Cabela's used Sig P226's
Speaking of Sig 226's. Anyone know where I can find the older model 226 Navys? Not the 226 with the rail and sig night sites. I'm looking for the 226 with the anchor, no rail and stock sights.

Re: Cabela's used Sig P226's
Last summer I bought a SIG certified rebuilt P226 in .40 cal that had been a LE gun turned in. It is like new. I believe SIG does not refinish the slides if they show wear because it changes tolerances with a new finish thickness. Other than that, the rest of the gun looks new and it is the most accurate handgun I have, just a bit better than my P220. I paid about $600 from an online auction site. Money very well spent! You do get a 1 year warranty of the factory refurbished guns.

Re: Cabela's used Sig P226's
I have no idea what these Cabela guns are, but keep in mind that not all of the ex police/government guns, especially those from overseas, are certified Sig pre owned guns that get a going over at the factory. There are 226's out there that are ex cop guns from overseas that are pretty much as they were when surplussed, for good or for bad. Just something to remember and not assume all these 226's are certified Sig.

Re: Cabela's used Sig P226's
If the are certified Sig, they will be marked CPO, and come in a red box. My guess is that as said above these are "as is" surplus pistols.
