    Default Renewal issue

So I dropped off my and the wifes LTCF renewal paperwork today. Completed the $54 check and got my receipt. The deputy stated 7-10 days and she would call me. I wanted to do this about 2 weeks ago, but have been busy. (Shameless plug) I just double checked my current license only to find out that it isn't current after today; I thought it was the 28th.... Now what do I do??
I think the founding fathers meant exactly what they wrote: the government should not make any laws restricting the RIGHT of the people to 'hold or retain in one's possession' and 'hold or carry' guns and other weapons that would allow them to keep their government in line.

I had knowledge of that exception, but wasn't sure of the application thereof. I just went back and reread the statute. It does appear that simple. Does anyone know of any case law relating to this exception to carrying without a valid license? The one part that bothers me is "from the date of arrest"; I'd rather not get arrested. I suppose that goes without saying, but I was looking for some educated opinions on my situation. I guess I'll "carry on" and deal with any ramifications if I have to. Thanks.

    It's not that bad.

Seriously, no case law I personally know of. Consider the exception and the fact that our renewal is progress...
Print a copy of the exception and if you get checked explain your app is at the SO.

Thanks Rich. I do enjoy a good laugh now & then!

I'm thinking of ordering a Toughbook with the waterproof keyboard though... Not sure how many times I can spew water/beer on this laptop before it quits working!
