What is the value of my 1911
Was hoping that you all could help me with the value of a gun I have. I am hoping to sell this gun and I am trying to get an idea of a fair asking price/market value.
I have a Springfield Arms 1911 GI model with the OD green finish. I have all the paper work, manual, case, brushes and the 7 round mag. that came with the gun. I also have a spare 7 round mag. The gun has about 500 round through it and it has some normal holster wear. I have had the gun about 8 years.
sorry no pics
thanks for help

Look it up on gun broker. It will give you a good start.
I would give maybe $500.00 for the package.troll Free. It's all in your mind.

Round count and holster wear (not so much the round count) should put it somewhere around $400 to $450, max. Somewhere around $300/$350 if you trade it on a new gun.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Value of the gun is never what you think it should be.
Depending on the condition $400~$500 would be decent I'd imagineAudemus jura nostra defendere

Re: What is the value of my 1911
Thanks for the answers I was hoping for about 375 to 400
range. I got the gun before everyone was nuts for 1911 like people are now.
now i just need to find a person who wants to buy one.

60% of retail. Not MRSP, what you paid for it.

Re: What is the value of my 1911
i think you might get 375-400 if the gun was in mint condition but with holster wear and 500 rounds down the pipe i think you're looking at closer to 300. i don't believe there's a big demand for these guns and your best bet to help figure value is to check gunbroker or gunsamerica and see what others are asking. i'd post an add in the PAFOA classifieds for 400 and see if you get any offers, you can always accept less if you don't receive your asking price.

Dear RJH245,
If you put your Springfield Armory 1911 GI up for sale for $375 -400 on the PAFOA want ads, then I bet it sells in less than a minute.
While all values are subjective, a search of Gunbroker's completed sales for your model averages out around $500. You have the box and all accessories that came with it so you are in good shape.
Put it on PAFOA for that and if it doesn't sell, you can always lower the price later. It all depends on how fast you need to sell your pistol.
