Red face Lesson Learned- PICS ADDED

Well I've had my PAFOA lower and lower parts sitting in a box. This afternoon I decided to put them together. I learned 2 things.... 1. I don't like roll pins, 2. buffer retainers to the forehead sting a little. Luckily I was wearing my glasses if it had hit lower. Now I need to save some money for an upper assembly.

    Lesson learned.

LOL, all of my build was super fast. The only part that took me a chunk was the roll pin for the trig guard.

    LOL...

i've never managed that one, but i've shot a couple pin retainer springs across the room and spent more time looking for them than actually assembling the lower.

Sorry for the late reply. Been away from the computer for awhile.

Anvil Arms stripped flat top upper, DPMS or Bushmaster or <insert name brand here> bolt carrier group, WOA 16-inch SS (mid-length gas) barrel in .223 Wylde w/M4 extension, YHM lightweight free float quad rail (mid-length), YHM 2-rail removable gas block, and YHM 5C2 flash hider.

    Great pics!!!!

(Stevie...pics of my lightweight yhm on my other thread are up )

Looks like you did a nice job on assembling the lower, when I decide to build another upper, or rebuild mine...im going with a VLTOR MUR.

    However....
another lesson learned....your castle nut is backwards Of course it probably works how it is, but every time I've ever seen one it's opposite to yours.
