Well the founding fathers used shall so I think you would need a constitutional amendment to fix that little typo.

When there is a question about the 2A, go read the Federalist/Anti-Federalist papers and other works that our forefathers wrote.

The answers are there that should remove all doubt about what they were thinking when coming up with the Second Amendment. They borrowed from many sources, too. Those sources are worth looking up as well.

Once this background research is completed you can come to only one conclusion. But I leave that for you to decide.

The bane of liberty is doing the legwork yourself and forming your own logical conclusions. But once you have that "Aha!" moment, no one will be able to confuse or confound you on the issue ever again.

Breaking this down using the language of the era you get:

Well regulated = Proper working order

Militia = All free men aged 16 - 45 were primary (younger and older were reserves/back up/second stringers) who are willing to take arms against an invader

Security of a free state = We the States refuse to trade an English Tyrant for an American Tyrant

Right = entitlement by birth, not given by government

People = EVERYONE

Keep = Own

Bear = Carry

Arms = Weapons typically carried into and employed during battle by a single Soldier (rifle/pistol/saber/ninja sword et al)

Shall not = May not

Infringed = Interfered with/inhibited/blocked/prevented etc....

I don't know where you got your information but... It seems pretty fucking clear to me.

It's gun owners like you who don't understand, and make statements about how "the 2A isn't clear" or "it's confusing" that keep giving the antis ammunition to keep fighting us....
