    Default New Rifle!!!

Went out shopping for a DPMS 308....came home with an M&P15 Sport. I was going to post a pic, but I don't seem to know how lol. I've had it for a week, but have not had the chance to shoot it yet. I'm extremely excited for some range time though. I do have a question though, how is this rifle on ammo? I've read some user reviews that praise this gun for it's value, and some said it will feed anything they put through it, but I wanted to see if any of you had first hand experience.
    Shoulda' bought a Hi-Point

my Sport works fine with everything I've fed it, from M855 to steel cased Russian stuff. The Russian stuff is just harder to clean afterward........smells weird too.

Congrats. Enjoy. But, be careful, they are addicting and tend to reproduce over time.

You went out shopping for a 308 and came home with a 223? That's bad. I know, I do the same thing. That's why they call us gun nuts.....
You don't have enough guns untill you don't know how many you have.

I went out on October 31st, 2012 to get a 34-round magazine for my Glock 17. I came home with a Colt M4 LE6920, my first 30-round windowed PMAG and a tin of 420 rounds of 62gr Lake City penetrators.

Then that night, the AC compressor in my car said "screw you and your new gun" and seized up - resulting in also needing a new AC compressor and new serpentine/balance belts.

That's a bummer, I hate it when transportation needs get in the way of important gun needs. Why spend $500 on tires when you could get a new pistol?

To the OP, congrats, should be a nice rifle. Every rifle can be different, best way to find out what it likes is to try a lot of different stuff and see how it goes.

Congrats on the new rifle. Dollar for dollar the Sport is hard to beat. Now go out and shoot it!

I keep a shotgun between my two AR's so they keep to themselves. Who knows what kind of offspring might be produced if the shotgun and one of the AR's hooked up.
