Default ZQI Turkish Ammo at Wal-Mart

    Anyone seen it yet?

I took some quick pics last night.
According to the website they have 9mm, 5.56x45, and 7.62x51 brass ammo.

    20 rd boxes of 7.62x51 for $17.97

1,200 rd ammo can of 9mm for $497.00

I didn't notice any 5.56x45, but I wasn't looking for it either at the time.

    Company website: zqiammousa.com

Our high quality ammunition is manufactured to NATO specifications in state of the art facilities. ZQI Ammunition is committed to helping meet the demands of Americans for reliable and accurate brass cased, boxer primed ammunition.
Leveraging strong business relationships in Turkey, ZQI now functions as the exclusive distributor in the United States of ammunition products manufactured by MKEK.
Apparently it is currently only available at Wal-Mart.

    interesting.

    If I see it in a 50 or 100 round box I'd give the 9mm a try.
I don't think I would buy 1200rds of the stuff without trying it out first.

Agreed. PLUS at that "can price" that's $20.70 per 50 rounds!!!

Perhaps you're paying for the "sealed battle packs"? (rolls eyes)
To be fair, you DO get an ammo can, BUT that still only brings down the ammo to about $19.85/50.

    Pass.

It's a bit pricey regardless how good it is, JMO.

I read somewhere that the 9mm is loaded hot like the 9mm nato or +p+ I might grab a box of the x51 just to see.

Sounds pricey for what is an unknown quantity in the marketplace.

That's probably a safe bet, but hot 9mm FMJ is hardly anything to get excited about.
