Where to get a good upper at a decent price?
Where are you guys finding good uppers for great prices? I have been a PSA customer for a while, but honestly, they are out of stock on just about everything! I'm looking for a decent quality upper but I can only afford to be around the $400-$500 price range. I'm not concerned with brand names but I do want something with a quad rail, M4 feed ramps, chrome lined barrel and possibly fold down front sight instead of the traditional FSB. (I really want a monolithic quad rail style but I realize that that may be out of my price range)
Please post or pm me some links and recommendations.

Honestly, PSA is just about giving the stuff away.
Just remember, anything that's "PTAC" isn't chrome lined

I second the above response. Build one. It really isn't difficult. I decided to build mine earlier this year and was shocked at how simple it was. In looking at the price of assembled parts, I couldn't find anything that was exactly what I wanted that I thought was reasonably priced. Plus, I figure if you are going to pay for assembled rifles or uppers and lowers, just to change out the furniture anyway, might as well save some money and build it.

Build over buy. I have all the tools and I'm in Latrobe pretty often, I could swing by and help you put it together in 15 minutes.
Or call Cory at CDS Arms in Claridge just down the road and he will build you exactly what you want at a competitive price. In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796

I'll throw in another build it yourself. I just finished building my third upper and am very happy I invested in the tools to build and maintain. It's not difficult but you need to read and understand what you are doing. If you still don't feel comfortable building I would suggest looking at these places for your uppers:
BCM
Rainier Arms
Aim Surplus
Larue
Noveske

I looked into building but honestly, PSA's prices are cheaper than buying individual parts! This is one I may just buy.

It has no BCG or charging handle but I can get those later.
