Most widely used pistol in the world

I read that the CZ75 was the most widely used (by police and military) in the world. My co-workers (uneducated CZ bashers) say it can't be CZ it would have to be Glock. Does anyone know what pistol it would be with some proof ?

I'm not sure what the answer is, but I would doubt the CZ is in the mix. In the US I'd guess Glock, S&W, and Sig are the big 3. Internationally Glock and Sig and Baretta. (again just guesses)

Most widely used in the world I guess but you don't see them here very much so it's hard to believe. Glocks are definitely popular here because Americans are cheap and don't care about anything other than if it goes bang

All I saw throughout Italy last month were Beretta M92/96s. Makes sense since they are Italian made.

I'd say Beretta, followed by Glock, with Glock taking the #1 within the next few years.

I'm with Yellowfin and bripro -- FN/Browning High Power was the champ well into the 1990s. Dunno about now.

I didn't realize that NATO had an issue pistol.

The Brits still issue the Browning HP and are switching to the Glock. The Germans issue the HK USP. Not everyone gets the Beretta.
