Re: Looking for local gun shop
I agree Keystone arms in Matamoras is a good shop. Joe the Owner is in deed a straight shooter, He's not a salesmen and has a good personality, very likable guy. So is his Gunsmith Tony, great little shop! (Last building on the Hackers Highway before you go into Port Jervis)
Now onto that touchy subject... "Dunkelbergers"
I dont know why people dislike Dunkelbergers? I have been going there for years and years and buying guns and guns along with Bows, clothing.... Over the years We've got to know Jerry Dunkelberger and the salesmen and gunsmith's. Actually got to know one of the younger gunsmiths very well, we go shooting with him. They've always maintained a professional, curtious manor with me.
I have found there prices to be the same or below the MSRP on most firearms. And once I had a Mossberg Shotgun that was having a problem with the action and they took it and had it replaced for 100% free and it was done in 2 days.
I will agree though, if you wanted to sell a firearm to them I wouldnt, they will not give you what its worth, but usually the people that bad mouth Dunkelbergers have sold a gun to them and not gotten what they wanted for it.... I respond with "Well then why did you sell it to them??" Thats called Capitalism, Dunkelbergers is supposed to buy a gun from you and sell it for little or no profit, or give you more than they can get from it.... Come on...
I can honestly say if Dunkelbergers moved to Pike County I wouldnt have a reason to go to that scum hole Monroe County.Know Christ Know Peace, No Christ No Peace
