Default Dan Wesson specialist vs SA TRP

I can only get one or the other (my wife is really on my case). Which would you buy the dan Wesson specialist or the SA TRP? I don't have experience with either. I'm only looking at these 2 because I already have 1911s in sig, S&W, kimber, nighthawk and an ed brown (on order). Right now I'm leaning towards the dan Wesson. Any thoughts would be appreciated. No real criteria, just looking to add another to the collection.

While I don't have experience with those 2 pistols, I do with both companies and I prefer Dan Wesson. To me it seems like all of the DW 1911's are rock solid while I have seen and experienced some issues with the lower end offerings from Springfield Armory.

I do have a Dan Wesson Guardian in 45acp right now and it has been perfect.

All that being said, both of those pistols are well respected and I don't think you'd go wrong with either.

    This is a win-win situation.

    +1 for Dan Wesson.....

Edit: did you see this in the classifieds? It's a CBOB, but. Probably need to work on the price....

Dan Wesson, without a doubt. Forged frame, no MIM, outstanding fitting.

Always happy to feed the fire. Nesbits (http://usedgunspa.com/) had a SS Specialist when I was there two weeks ago. Two other Dan Wesson (ECO and a base SS).

I haven't purchased anything from Nesbits (though I was tempted) but both of my visits were great, the guys in the store were very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them when I am in buying mode.

The 1911 Force is strong with this one . . .

I vote Dan Wesson. Not even in the same class as the Springer TRP, IMO.

I guess I'll be the asshole and ask how long Danny guarantees his pistols. Ahem,,,, How long does Dan Wesson guarantee his pistols?

Oh wait,,,,, CZ now makes them. I guess it should be... How long does CZ guarantee their pistols? Sorry for that.....

Might want to consider that little item.

    EDIT: Just planting the seed.....
