Modifying Glock grip
I've seen guys cut some material from the trigger guard and grip to help get a higher hold on the gun, especially those with big hands. Does it affect the structural integrity of the gun? I have a 27 gen 4 that just a fraction off of being comfortable with two fingers on the grip.
And...
1. Is there anyone near Hanover that would let me handle their modified Glock?
2. Any gun shops/ armorers do this near Hanover?
3. Shall I risk doing it myself?

Re: Modifying Glock grip
Any change to the polymer is permanent and if you screw up there is no going back. I used a soldering iron to change the texture on one of my Glocks, it turned out great but it is most likely untradeable. The polymer itself is pretty robust just don't do anything to the functional areas.

Re: Modifying Glock grip
Adding a tango down Vickers mag base plate to my 27 really helped me.
It give me just a little more to hang on to. And I have big hands( usually carry a 17).
Maybe give the base plate a try first before permanently modifying the frame. TFOAC Member, NRA Member

I'm a big fan of the GAP Finger Extension on my G26 ( I have large hands). Instead of adding an extension for another finger (which adds grip length), it assists you in firming up and controlling your existing grip by providing a small "hook" for your ring finger to engage.

Removing a little material under the back of the trigger guard is ok, just don't go overboard.
I don't know anyone local whom mods grips but this guy is popular.

I use the GAP plates myself. They don't really add extra finger space but they help quite a bit with a more firm secure grip on the gun. They also come in handle with unholstering.

I used a dremel with the large sanding drum to do my 19, much improved. It points more natural now. The pic is blurry, but you get the gist.
