shooter's Bench, Russellton
i have been there a few times, mostly to poke around, bought a few pistols there over the years.
i happened to stop in 2 weeks ago because i was in the area. i have been looking for a gunsmith for a while.
anywho, i got to talking to nathan about their stock of sig pistols. i happened to ask who the gunsmith was, and it was him. he answered all of my question to my satisfaction on tools and techniques. i felt comfortable enough for him to do a test run on one of my guns a 22 rifle. if that went well, then there was more to follow.
he did:
this was the test run rifle
american rimfire 22
cut it down to 16" from 20"
recrown
thread the barrel with the specs from silencerco's website for a sparrow
drill and tap to keep the front sight
ruger MK II 22 target
thread the barrel with the specs from silencerco's website for a sparrow
drill and tap to keep the front sight
i was worried about this one. they don't make them anymore. the MK II is superior to the MK III in my opinion. i hate my MK III compared to my MK II.
this is in his backlog for next week, but i am confident it will be fine
remington AAC-SD 308
cut the barrel to 16" from 20"
recrown
thread for my YHM
everything went smooth. no issues at all.
i will be dropping off some pistol to have him change the sights when i get more funds.

I never knew they did gunsmithing, but I've never stopped in.
I've been told they don't allow customers to carry inside the store per a sign outside. Do you know if this is correct?
