Lubricating my Tokerav pistol.
After a two week wait I will be taking my Romanian Tokerav to the range after work tomorrow. Before I do that I really need to break down the pistol and lubricate it, the pistol is so clean and seems lubricated but I rather not tempt fate. However this pistol never came with instructions like most of my new production firearms so I want to make sure I hit every area with a drop of oil that needs it. Other than the rails and barrel brushing where else should I apply lubricant? Thanks.

Re: Lubricating my Tokerav pistol.
After shooting - use cheap window cleaner with ammonia first - it will break down corrosive ammo residue that regular gun cleaners will not! After I use store brand windex( cheap stuff has lots of ammonia ) I finish cleaning with regular gun cleaner then lube. Enjoy - that 7.62x25 round is awesome

Re: Lubricating my Tokerav pistol.
Well that was the plan but I cannot find a guide online that shows the critical areas that need oil, I am concerned I will miss something.
Solid advice, all the surplus has dried up and I bought a few hundred rounds of the S&B ammo. It's noncorrosive but maybe I should play it safe? As for the x25 round that's 2/3's of the reason I bought this pistol.Sanity, yours if you can keep it.....

Re: Lubricating my Tokerav pistol.
Pull the entire firing block, feed ramps, and lubricate the whole assembly. Easy.

Re: Lubricating my Tokerav pistol.
Well I broke down the pistol and reassembled it without much issue, getting the recoil spring back in took me 2-3 attempts but I got it in. Not easy like my M&P 9 but a lot easier than my Mosin Nagant's bolt which is a total bitch. The inside of the pistol was cleaned and oiled already but I wiped it down. I put a little CLP on a tooth brush and scrubbed the inside of the slide/frame. I put a few drops of Hoppes on my fingers then rubbed it on the rails (Both on the slide and frame), the trigger assembly, the little swiveling piece hanging below the barrel and the end of the barrel/barrel brushing. I put a few patches down the barrel with CLP and finished with a forth patch with a little Hoppes, the patches turned a little black but I didn't see any deposits so I spared the brush. Before assembling the pistol I rubbed the recoil spring with a little CLP. When I put the pistol back together I wiped the finish down with a rag lightly spayed with CLP to get my finger prints off the finish.
Anyway even though I felt the cleaning/lubricating wasn't necessary I feel confident the pistol is ready to go. I also prepared my pistols, ammo and supplies ready for the range so I thought I would share this beautiful sight with you:
It's funny, I opened my ammo can which has all my plinking ammo for my rifles and pistols. It's been sealed since July and when I broke the seal it just had a certain smell to it.Sanity, yours if you can keep it.....
