LTCF/DUI question
My girlfriend is finally warming up to the idea of getting her LTCF.
She thinks it's a really good thing to have just in case. And if my mom's beretta dosn't sell it'll make a good gun for her.
Anyway she had a DUI about a year and a half ago. She technically wasn't found guilty of DUI but had 6 months ARD probation.
My question is will this cause problems when we go to get her LTCF in Allegheny county?
I sure hope not as I can't thind of someone more responsible to own and carry firearms.
Thanks--

Re: LTCF/DUI question
You can get down on someone you don't know all day long but I don't consider what she did to be drunk driving. SHe was arrested 1 point over the line in her driveway for failure to use a turn signal while turning IN HER DRIVEWAY.
This girl is one of the most responsible people I have ever met and I don't care that she had two (literally) beers and drove the mile and a half home.
Just because someone makes a poor choice dosn't deny them the right to self defense. Just because someone drinks two beers, then safely drives home to get pulled over in her own driveway dosn't make her a baby killing threat to society as we know it.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU PISS ME THE FUCK OFF!!!!
Life itn't black and white. There's alot of grey in there.
Sorry for the rant but you shouldn't judge other people you don't know with no knowledge of any part of the situation.
Now thanks for the information and any further oppinions about DUI and speciffically the situation involving my girlfriend will be met with extreme hostility from me.
Thank you for the information

Re: LTCF/DUI question
I agree that driving "drunk" is not responsible behavior.
However
"Responsible" people may make a mistake and be cited for driving under the influence when they are technically not "drunk".
Not to mention that this post was "not helpful", as in it didn't address the question. It was poorly timed and worded resembling an intentionally inflammatory poke.
