CC question not related to OCB

I am not sure if the belongs here or in the Lounge... While using a public rest room today i thought to myself what do people when they CC with an in the waist band holster if they use the can...where do they put their gun? food for thought

On the toilet paper thing or on the back of the can.

I carry IWB in a stiff holster and an Instructors belt...it stays put.

If it didn't, I'd probably throw it inside my pants while they sat on the ground....
One things for sure...you won't leave w/o it.

I know of tooooo many people who've left their gun in the rest room when they set it down somewhere.

CC or OC, if you go to a public rest room you have to watch out for stalls that have a space at the bottom. Someone can reach through and do a grab, and you are not going to chase them with any speed. When carrying I try to avoid public rest rooms for #2. On occasion I have set the weapon on my lap while seated.

I am a professional, paid paranoid. I also recall from years back that there was a gang, I believe that it was in Newark NJ, that would follow police officers into restrooms and reach in and steal their guns while they where indisposed.
I also worked in a large facility of public invite where sexual preditors would follow boys into the restrooms and reach though the space to molest them. They would go as far as to take drills into the rest rooms and drill holes through the stall walls to get their jollies watching other people in the stalls.
Try doing survaliance in a rest room waiting for a perv to proposition you or reach through a stall.

I wouldn't say so. What's wrong with what he said? Things can and do happen. Are you saying that's an impossible thing to have happen? Are you "paranoid" because you have guns to protect yourself? No, you're not. He's not "paranoid" because he thinks of things like this, either.

On a related note to this thread, to my fellow OCers, do you use a stall instead of a urinal in a public restroom while OCing? I always do . . . think about it. . standing at a urinal with your gun on your hip . . . you have your back to everyone. . .scary.

Didn't say there's anything wrong with it, just think it's kind of unlikely...in the grand scheme of things.

Can't say I've ever been paid to observe a restroom... I'll take your word on it.

I just know too many people who've left their gun in the can.... Removing it from your person just seems like a bad idea to me.

I'm a paranoid dude, but have never feared someone reaching under a stall to snatch my gun.



Anyway I just lay it on top the toilet paper holder or down in my pants.


Unless I forget to take my meds. Then I keep it in my hand so it dosn't get snatched.
