A warning to those who shoot "dual" cartridge revolvers.
Was out shooting my .32 magnum SP-101 the other day. I had some problem ejecting the empty brass. It took a little tapping against the table. The reason: My previous outing consisted of shooting .32 S&W. These cartridges are a little shorter than the magnums. I did not clean the cylinders between firings. The magnum cases expanded against the residue on the cylinder walls and were a sticky to remove. The solution: Clean the gun between outings.
I don't know if the same thing happens in the .38 Special/.357 magnum world. Maybe somebody can enlighten us.
Anyway - be warned.Last edited by Hokkmike; November 18th, 2013 at 10:20 PM.

I get the same thing with my 22 rifle. When I shoot 60gr Aguila SSS ammo, then switch to standard 22LR ammo, the extractor sometimes slips off of the rim (but not often). After a few rounds have been through the pipe, the problem fixes itself.

No issues with .38 spl and .357 mags in my GP100. both run like champs and eject without issues.

If there's a duel will one be wearing a mighty shirt and the other carrying a pointy stick?

Is that why I have problems getting 22 mag ammo into my 22 long cylinder for my Ruger Single six? Damn
