Bought my first 1911 yesterday
I picked up this used Kimber Raptor2 yesterday. Got a hell of a deal too. Pistol, 8 mags, Blackhawk! (not SERPA) holster, IWB holster (not pictured), 50 rnds Critical Defense and 25 rnds Federal Premium for $800.
Definitely won't be my last. I haven't shot it yet, but it feels awesome in my hand.

You got a beauty.
I know what you mean about the feel. A 1911 is something that just seems to "fit". Feels great, the grip angle is juuust right, and that trigger break is oh-so-crisp and clean, with a reset that just can't be beat.
John Browning was way ahead of his time. I often wonder what he could have done with today's tech.Everyone should have an AK-47

Re: Bought my first 1911 yesterday
Congrats bro. I have the exact same one in ss, I loved everything except the grip and factory mags. I can't tell what mags are in those pics but get some Wilson combat or chip McCormick. Btw you got a hell of a deal. Gun alone is $1300 new.

Re: Bought my first 1911 yesterday
This is the first firearm I've bought that I consider to have a 'proper' trigger. I bet it moves less than 1/4 of an inch. I thought my Rugers had OK triggers (and they do, for what they are), but this is beats them hands down.

Re: Bought my first 1911 yesterday
When I bought my first, I said I was going to get one more to match it. I've since bought 20 more and own 16.
Just be careful with that wallet...and the drool.BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.
