Man fires civil war cannon repeated at neighbors
Just read this on fox news. As a member of the N-SSA. I hope this is not one of our fellow artilleryman. If this pic below is it, witch found in local news article, that's not n-ssa. Kinda alittle toy. I prefer full scale. Local report also said it was over eight days with a dispute with a neighbor.
Man arrested for repeatedly firing unloaded Civil War cannon at neighbors, police say
Published November 14, 2013Associated Press
KIANTONE, N.Y. – *Authorities say a western New York man has been charged with harassment for repeatedly firing an unloaded Civil War cannon at the homes of his neighbors.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Brian Malta fired the cannon at neighboring homes in the rural town of Kiantone, on the Pennsylvania border 60 miles south of Buffalo.
Deputies say the cannon was fired with only a powder charge and wadding. Police confiscated the cannon.
Officials say Malta had an ongoing dispute with his neighbors, but no details were released.
Anybody heard anything else
Malta was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of harassment and three counts of menacing. He was released from the county jail after posting $2,500 bail.

That barrel is awfully thin at the muzzle. Is it homemade? At any rate, it might be good to use to get your neighbor's dog out of your yard when it tries to shit there.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Man fires civil war cannon repeated at neighbors
Yes that barrel is awfully thin at the muzzle, but the breech area is aleasted reinforced. Now I'm not an expert on civil war cannons but I have been shooting civil war cannons with the north south skirmish asscation for 15 years, that toys only 1/3 scale. Home made or kit, nice as a toy. But way off for civil war cannons spec. As per that barrel. Well the 10 pound parrot rifle we shoot original handled appox 10,000 psi, our replica barrel has 1/3 inch steel liner insert can hold 100,000 psi, That toy might be shoot able but I would talk to the guy the made the barrel first.

That's funny as hell. They probably deserved it. Don't piss off your neighbors. Especially if they have a cannon!
