good rem 700 gunsmith
A friend of mine wants to get some work done to his remington 700. can anyone recommend a qualified, experienced 700 gunsmith in or around the Reading area. he's willing to travel about an hour or so tops. His rifle has a really long throat, so he wants to see what his options and cost are to have this fixed.

Manharts in East Stroudsburg. Reloading may be an option, or you're going to have to set the barrel back and rechamber it. Some bench guys have long throats on purpose, you may want to nose around on some bench resting or silhouette sights.
