Gen 3 Glock 26 Review

The Glock 26 is one of the most popular carry guns for good reason. I've been carrying the Gen3 G26 for a long time and here's what I've found.
Pros:
-Reliable. The gun has had 0 malfunctions
-Accurate. For s subcompact gun it's relatively easy to shoot well.
-Durable
-Easy to maintain
-TONS of aftermarket support.
-Accepts 15, 17, and 33 round factory magazines
-Glock's customer service is excellent
-Cheap replacement parts, should you ever need them
-Low Bore Axis resulting in a soft shooting gun, especially for the weight.
-Easily modified to fit the shooters' preferences
-Requires very little cleaning/lubrication to run reliably
-Carries well but you still have a 10+1 capacity.
Cons:
-Most shooters will not be able to get amore than 3 fingers on the grip.
-Comes with a serrated trigger (even the US made models)
Here's a video with some shooting, a size comparison with the CM9 & S&W Shield, and a discussion of the pros and cons of the gun.

Re: Gen 3 Glock 26 Review
Very nice write up for someone who may be unfamiliar with the firearm yet considering it as a carry weapon.

Best ccw ever IMO. Your cons aren't even cons so all pros
Now less Glock, more H&K :)

Re: Gen 3 Glock 26 Review
Arguably one of the best, if not the best outright, conceal-carry pistols. While my XD-S 9mm will become my primary carry weapon once I get it back from Springfield, it's only because I mainly carry AIWB and I prefer the thinner profile. That said, I just shot 600 rounds through my Gen 2.5 G26 over two days in a class last weekend with no non-user-induced malfunctions, and was hitting COM with little difficulty at 50 yards. It has been my EDC pistol for the last 3.5 years.
Right now, I'm carrying it AIWB in a Galco Walkabout holster with the 10-round mag in the pistol (with the GAP floorplate) and a Glock OEM 12-round mag as the primary backup mag in the Galco holster. I'll also sometimes carry the 17-round mag as a secondary backup mag in my weakside front pocket. If I'm dressed up in a suit, it'll go strongside IWB in a Raven Vanguard 2 under my suitjacket.
Looks like the OP is in the Harrisburg area...Last edited by AJChenMPH; November 14th, 2013 at 06:36 PM.
