    Default Sig Sauer P-6 grip

When I got this surplus firearm, I was under impression that since Sig P-6 is essentially no bling version of Sig P-225, I figured replacing cheap plastic(or bakelite?) grip with Pachmayr was easy enough......

Boy, was I wrong! Price on old stocks are OUT OF CONTROL!
Price on existing P225/P6 grips made by Pachmayr on E-bay went for $150+

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Sig-Sauer-P225-o...QQcmdZViewItem

A $150 for a rubber grip!!!! Someone loughed all the way to the bank!

So after some searching, I found this grip.
Aside from my poor cameramanship, difference is amazing isn't it?

    Was...

    Is....

Next step? Either Night sight or Electroless Chrome finish!

Bought mine off of e-bay guy. Seller's name is "anydlof".
other then the lack of communication, it was good transaction.

Grip is great looking(pic do not do its justice), eventho looks like small fitment is needed to make it a "100% perfect fit". I say fitment was perhaps 98%.

But it look 1000000000000 times better then beat up plastic grip it came with, and in the world where used to be $20 rubber Pachmayr grip is going for $150, i can't complain(i paid $80 for these wood one)

here is little better pic of grip.

It'll look great once I electroless chrome the weapon I would imagine...

lyman owns Pachmayr now. I wrote them and found out that they have a limited quantity of grips for Sig Sauer P225. I ordered mine tonight for $45 and change including shipping. just go to their homepage, clip on pachmayr and scroll down on What's New column.

Great looking grips. Just wondering why you've decided on electroless chrome vs NP3 or other similar type of finish? Good luck on your project!
Have a 228 and never had a ftf or any mechanical issue.

Guy at my gunshop bought P-6 the same time I did, and he had his NP3'ed(2 tone. NP3 on slide/controls, and blackened frame molybdenum-disulfide based polymer finish. I think its called Roguard?)
I don't care for the NP3's grayish color. I think Elecroless chrome is much brighter silver, which I like.

But I'm not counting NP3 yet. I am sort of worming up to it.
Either way, he is a dealer, so I can have him send it out to Robar and get dealer price(not much less from what I understand, but its less then what I would pay none-the-less)

I want to do several things to it before I ship it out for coating anyway, like night sight, lighter main spring, and short trigger(http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=768237 - If its still available), and normal hammer(again, if its still abailable).

I got my rubber grip for my P6 from Pachmayr. Ordered it from their web site in December and was told they would be shipping in January. Got it mid January for a cost of $38 shipped . I would check their site.
