2013 Fall Turkey Report

The season started slow with out hearing a bird. Monday was very cold early about 730 I had 3 come in all young gobblers. They hung up behind some brush for a half hour. My fingers about froze holding the shotgun in place. They finally moved and I missed, was thicker brush then I thought. Later in the morning I started calling had an answer 15 minutes later I bagged this jake. I hope every one has a safe and good season.

Nice! I plan on going out for my first time turkey hunting this week in 4C. No fall turkey where I live in 5C, so of course they're all over the place around here. I hope to have the same success as you did.

Congrats! I hope to get out tomorrow...we only have a 3 day fall season in 5A so I'm hoping (despite losing my normal hunting ground) to at least SEE something.

Nice bird! It sucks they have closed fall turkey in 5C...especially since I just picked up a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag.

Got a young hen at 9:30am Sat morning.

She was the last of a group I had originally thought was no more than 3...turned out to be close to 23 lol.
