Philly area deer processing
Okay, I've been looking and talking to people for a while and am still empty handed. I live in Philadelphia, hunt all over the state, just started hunting again this year after 15 years away. Where the hell am I supposed to take a deer to get it butchered?
Thank you.

Re: Philly area deer processing
I live smack in the middle of Philly, but please recommend. I don't mind traveling at this point for it. I don't know what the big fucking secret is. I understand not telling your hunting spot, but why butchers?

Re: Philly area deer processing
Probably because most of philly doesn't hunt. A lot of guys do it themselves in the garage, and others take it out to some of the further out butchers.
Heres my guy, though I haven't been lucky enough to get out lately.

call him to see if he still butchers, like I said its been a few years. A lot of the old guys have passed on and a lot of the new guys got out of it because of dropping hunter numbers and people with bad attitudes.Derrion Albert was my Hero.

Re: Philly area deer processing
Just wanted to thank everyone. I do wish these places were more convenient but what can you do? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Philly area deer processing
I have no experience of my own, but had the same question about processing. I came by these guys via a search. It would be pretty far for you but that's what I've got.

Again, I can't give any kind of review. If I ever get a out hunting and get myself a deer, I guess this place is my plan till I find an alternative.

Re: Philly area deer processing
It might help if we knew what area of Philly you are from.
I can tell you that as an Ex-Philly resident who now lives in Delco, The Stuff-it guy everyone is mentioning is actually real convenient to almost anywhere in Philly, unless you are in the Greater Northeast and go north into Bucks county to hunt with no plans to take the PA turnpike. Lenni PA may sound foreign but its a hop, skip and jump off the Blue Route at US-1. If you need to take the turnpike West or North to hunt, its on your way back. Then from Lenni its real easy to get to I-76, I-95, or US-1 north to get back to different sections of Philly.
