Default IDPA @ New Holland Rifle & Pistol Club - 03Nov2013

First time out with the new gun ... took some getting used to but I am really liking it.

This week coming up will be a killer with 4 matches!

Ha, I missed you yet again. I was looking for you at one point, but didn't see you. I was wearing a Phillies cap and was bundled up in a National Ski Patrol coat.

I started on stage 2 again. Three matches, and three starts on stage 2.

I'm assuming you were going for speed this match after seeing your raw time?

I totally blew it on stage 4 and 5. I did meet my goals with faster and smoother reloads and avoiding PE's. My accuracy seemed a bit down, but I did ok overall. As always, lots of fun.

Over 70 shooters. That was great to see.

    What is your new gun?
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

HA I did see the jacket -- was chillin in my chair by the pickup truck by stage 1 waiting for the match briefing.

    We started on Stage 1

No wasnt going for speed -- thats about normal pace for me. The horrid points down was simply getting used to the new setup.

The new gun is another M&P but the magwell really changes my grip on it and the holster is the Blade-Tech Black Ice model which has this additional cut that changes the draw stroke a bit. Add to that the extra slide length that I need to clear when drawing. It started to feel better as the day went on.

What camera and mount do you use to film? Also, what software do you use to edit? That looks like a great training tool that I might have to get.

Its the Contour+2 using the supplied flat mount that I stuck to a Blade-Tech Tek-Lok attachment. This is then clipped to the top of my hearing protection.

Buddy of mine does the same and did a video on it

Editing is currently done in Sony Vegas 10
