revolver grips
How are bantam style grips on a revolver to shoot and conceal? I heard they are great for concealing, but I haven't heard how the grip aids in holding and firing the gun?

Re: revolver grips
I've got a set on my J frame. I like them because it's easy to conceal. As for shooting with Bantams, I don't have a problem with the soft rubber ones. There's no room for the pinky finger but that doesn't bother me. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the sticky rubber grip grabs my skin when I carry IWB. If I could find a holster that covers the whole grip or if I wear a t shirt under the gun, this isn't an issue. I tried a slick wooden bantam grip, that helped with the skin grab but it also made it difficult to shoot, I went back to rubber.

Re: revolver grips
Bantam is, in my opinion, the best thing they ever did for J-frame sized guns.
Not having the pinky on the grip really doesn't affect accuracy at the typical defensive ranges, or with .38special or less loads. With a .357mag, yeah - the smaller grip could possibly make followup shots a little harder and the gun more uncomfortable.
Concealment - knocking an inch or so off the grip makes a world of difference if you're trying to conceal.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: revolver grips
I have Hogue Bantams on S&W J and K frame revolvers. They conceal as well as anything in the genre, but are wider in the palm of your hand. This distributes the recoil impulse better and makes the light guns more comfortable to shoot. I highly recommend them.

Re: revolver grips
I have a Taurus model 941 with a 2" barrel. Is there a Hogue rubber bantam grip that fits this. I was told the bantam grip for S&W j frames won't work. Does anyone know? Thanks.

Re: revolver grips
Hogue only offers wood and rubber monogrips for the Taurus revolvers. No Bantam.

Re: revolver grips
Is there a difference between bantam grips and boot grips for J-frame revolvers? If so, what are the differences?
