Kimber Ultra Carry II
So a little while ago I picked up a Kimber Ultra Carry II from a nice member of this forum.
The gun was very clean but it did have some scratches and different color releases and safety.
So after reading a posting on here I contacted Gary, (garyaug) on here and asked him to do a cerakote job on it for me. Deep midnight blue almost black and Tungstein frame( like dark gray). He also rounded the grip corner for me just enough so it does not bite the hand.
I am impressed. The gun looks great. I have pictures below of before and after. The grips were not on it when I got it. It had nice wood grips but they were regular grips.
What do you guys think?
Sorry about the top two pictures been upside down.

Looks good. It was not bad before. Best thing you did was take off the finger grove thing. How will the cerikote hold up on the moving parts?

You right it was not that bad before but it did have the controls of different color, an idiot scratch, holster wear. I just wanted her to shine again and I think it came out really good. I really like the color combination.
As far as how long it will last, only time can tell. She is hoing to be in my daily carry rotation, so its going to be a real test.E FLUCTIBUS IRRUIT IN HOSTEM. AECIDAE TELO IACET LIBATIS.

Hmmmm... I didn’t realize that cerakote would stick to an aluminum frame. Looks really nice though.
