    Default We want your ideas!

I set this site up with the hope that it would organize Pennsylvania Shooters to have group shoots, buy and sell items, and coordinate efforts against victim disarmament bills that PA tries to pass. If you have an idea that would help us do these things please let me know and I'll see if I can get it done.

Additionally if you have an idea for topic-specific forum area, let me know.

How about those ever famous "Gun Porn" sections?

And an "In action" forum, where members can post pics of themselves in action?

Maybe an "Add a link thread" for websites that sell ammo.

can never have enough Gun Porn!

Shooters come in many different varieties, us black gun "nuts", pistol only guys, hunters, shotgun only guys, etc.

Will you be opening the forum to all or mostly just the MG types? This is your place and you should do what ever you want but if you want to attract the more old school guy then you may want a Hunting section for example. I don't hunt so this is just a off the wall thought.

Maybe if would be good if you posted in more detail what you are thinking about with this place. A sort of a mission statement, if you will

Another thought (since you asked) is that since PA is such a big ass state, maybe some sort of regional section. I know at other boards I take note of all PA News but when I see that something is near Pittsburg, like a gun show, I usually ignore it since its about a six hour drive from here. I'm sure that those in Pittsburg do the same with news and shows near Philly. Here in Philly we can get to at least four different states faster than driving to Pittsburg. The same is also true for them as well.

Our motto: PA, it aren't Jersey, that's for sure!

This forum is open to everyone, the only reason I talk about MGs all the time is because that's my personal main interest. I'll open up a hunting section shortly because that's a great idea.

I already have county-specific forums set up, but I have them hidden for the time being while we pick up members. I figured it wasn't a good idea to have 40 forums with no one talking in them as having more forums than users makes the site look very bare.

I plan on opening up the county-specific forums very soon!

Default Philly Dave is that U?? :D

    Also:
How about setting stuff up by region especially for ranges/shops? If the site grows it will be tough to sift through lists across the entire state. Sure...regions overlap but the last time I was even near Pittsburgh was 1988 for a Big East game
if you ever see my post edited...its most likely for speling :D
"Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges"-In Time of War the Law Falls Silent-Cicero
"Si vis pacem, para bellum"-If you want peace, prepare for war-Flavius Vegetius Renatus

"America Starts Here!"-former PA state Slogan...until NJ complained and our wussy GovRendell changed it!

Absolutely, I already have the county-specific forums set up and I plan on activating them soon since we seem to be picking up members really quickly now. What I will probably do is let the current ranges/shops forum exist for now, and once I activate the county-speicifc forums I will merge the threads from the current ranges/shops section into the proper forum.

    How about an Ammo/reloading section?

We can keep everyone up to date on ammo, local prices at the many vendors and an area for those of us who reload to discuss.

Another great idea. I actually need to learn how to reload.
