NHRPC MOGADISHU MILE GENERAL REGISTRATION OPEN
General Registration for the NHRPC MOAG 2013 is open.
The Mogadishu mile is a three stage shooting match loosely based on "Operation Gothic Serpent" which took place in Mogadishu Somalia in the fall of 1993.
Stage 1 will be a "fast rope" in. You will drag a wounded team mate to safety, and engage a series of paper, steel, and reactive targets with rifle.
Stage 2 will be the traditional MOAG run that we always do. It will be comprised of steel, paper, and reactive targets and will include moving targets in the pits.
Stage 3 will simulate you as the crew chief of a downed helo, holding back the crowd for as long as you can.
You should bring 50 rounds pistol and approximately 200 rounds rifle. How much you wish to carry on person for any of the stages is UP TO YOU.
No M855, AP, or other penetrating rounds allowed in any stage of the match.
Your holster must be on your drawing side (no crossdraw, or vest), and your pistol must be a centerfire, defensive type pistol. Target guns with extremely light triggers are not permitted. The holster must retain the firearm in any situation the match puts you in.
Rifles must be capable of reloading from detachable magazines, and must hold minimum 10 rounds. Max caliber is 308 Win.

Have at it fellas, and see you on the MOAG.

Fargo007;
I registered myself and a brother-in-arms. Will we be getting email notifications or is the notification we get when on the registration page sufficient?
Tagging onto Lycanthrope's comment...what is a light trigger?
I've always liked this shoot. It relies on your physical abilities as well as your ability to shoot.

Re: NHRPC MOGADISHU MILE GENERAL REGISTRATION OPEN
No emails are sent. If it said your registration was received, you are G2G.
Any pistol suitable for IDPA, and designed for holster draw is fine.
Any safe arrangement is fine. Here's some sample circumstances where we will not let the shooter fire the pistol stage:
1 - A bullseye or precision pistol with a trigger pull weight that is obviously inappropriate for holster draw and defensive/action sport shooting.
2 - Rimfire of any kind.
3 - Any other obviously non-defensive pistol shoehorned into a holster that isn't made for that firearm.
