Montgomery County was walk-in and walk out. Relocated to Chester County and License was about to lapse. Filled out the form, gave $20.00 to the helpful officer and exactly two weeks the license arrived. Easy as pie.

Funny story.... I gave them my POBox for address but didn't realize they don't send to POBoxes, so after 50 days I went in to see what's up and they had it there and was issued 15 days after submission. All kinds of shit went through my mind while waiting because when I bought my Shield a month earlier my background check was delayed into "research". Well WTF I thought. 10 days later I was ok for my gun purchase. My job does frequent background checks so I guess it sent up some red flags but all was cool in the end. Chester County is ltcf friendly as I have numerous leo friends and they embrace armed good citizens.

Took about 2 weeks for me. Very friendly staff, easy process. Thanks to the Sheriff's office!

When I renewed mined it took 14 minutes to walk out with a new permit. It was 24 minutes total walking to and from car along with placing and retrieving my carry piece in the lockers provided. The woman Sheriff doing the check in and wanding thought I was a law enforcement person. I've been told it's my posture and assertiveness.
