Snubbie .38 sights
I picked up a real cheap snub nose .38 from a member here last week. Shoots reliably and lock-up is tight. I found that if I line up the sights it shoots 4" high at 7 yards. After running a couple boxes through it I found if I hold the top of the front blade in the middle of the rear sight they land where I want them. I am able to hold 1 1/2" groups like this, double action, at 7 yards. Is it worth trying to build up the front sight or just leave it as is?

With a snubbie, I'd find out where it hits w yer chosen defensive ammo and aim fer the co jones....you'll hit him in the liver. Most of mine shoot low, which is fine, as I'd rather hit the liver than miss high.
I nevr mess with fixed sights, but that's just me. I aim fer the belt buckle and it is good enuf. I'd try several kinds of ammo as well, since different ammo shoots different in every gun. 6-7 yds is about right..std FBI combat distance being about 7 yds..or the width of the average living room so they say.Last edited by Fred762; October 21st, 2013 at 02:37 AM.
